We asked Nichole for some insight on frequently asked input on weight loss:
Q. What is the most common mistake when trying to lose weight?
A. Not tracking. I mean both from a good perspective: not tracking portion size, calories and macronutrients, as well as progress: weight, measurements and pictures.
Q. What type of experience can you expect at Dr. Rogers Rogers Centers?
A. We treat the whole person- we spend lots of time dissecting the medical, social and lifestyle of our patients. We want to ensure that we’re treating all parts of the puzzle to help patients achieve more optimal weight loss and wellness.
Q. What advice do you give your weight loss patients?
A. Be consistent, small changes and results add up over time! And always, always track!
Q.What is something you have learned at Dr. Rogers Centers about weight loss?
A. Cookie cutter doesn’t work. Even though we’re all human, we have differences that affect our choices and our outcomes.
Q. What is your philosophy about weight loss?
A. We only get back what we put in. If we want to look and feel good, we need to fuel ourselves properly, hydrate, get plenty of sleep, reduce stress and practice healthy self talk.
Q. What is your area of expertise within nutrition and weight loss?
A. I am a registered dietitian who specializes in adult weight management. I’d say my expertise is really customizing plans to patients dietary and fitness needs and not being afraid to think outside the box, being creative.
Q. Can you share a weight loss success story that really inspired you?
A. I’m inspired by all of our patients- from patients who’ve lost and maintained massive weight loss to patients who just do their best and put in hard work.
