Meet Lorena Carmona, Nutritionist
Lorena graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Incarnate Word University in 2013 and has been working at Dr. Rogers Centers ever since. She was drawn to working at Dr. Rogers Centers because of her passion for treating patients using a holistic and multidisciplinary approach. She believes in treating the patient as a whole for effective results that encourages a healthy lifestyle versus a short-term diet solution.
Lorena has observed that people become overwhelmed with information overload, which makes them vulnerable to diet trends – especially in this day and age where the internet is full of false information and dangerous diet fads. Understanding the body and how to nurture is essential to overall well-being. She finds it very rewarding to be able to be part of people’s journey and be able to help people look and feel their best. In her free time she enjoys outdoor activities such as mountain biking, listening to live music and spending time with my family.
Lorena is caring, sensitive, and full of encouragement and optimism when helping our patients on their weight loss journey. She provides some simple, effective advice we can all heed:
